About MeRobert Stuart Stephen Mackay (1897 - 1941) was an architect and a signaller during World War One. Mackay studied architecture at the School of Architecture in Aberdeen and served his articles in Falkirk. His apprenticeship was interupted by World War One and he served as a signaller who was based at Signal School in Crystal Palace, England. At the close of the war, Mackay returned to his studies. He worked for a number of companies and was elected ARIBA under the war exemption scheme on 11 June 1923. He later joined the staff of the City Engineer's Department in Aberdeen and rose to become chief architect; during which he was involved in the construction of the Bon Accord Baths, Aberdeen.
