About MeTrained as a granite mason during the early 1930s (unclear where he was apprenticed) before spending the rest of his working life (after WW2) at Taggart's yard in Allenvale. The granite workers in the Rose family all worked for Taggarts, Rose's father was a polisher there. Died at 59 of a heart attack.
