About MeWith his unique style of comedy which drew on his native Doric dialect, Harry Gordon was celebrated as one of Scotland’s most popular entertainers. At the age of 16 he joined a variety show, acting in open-air performances in Aberdeen and beyond. He soon became known on stage and across the airwaves for his wide variety of impressions and sketches, including his fictional persona of the Laird of Inversnecky. Harry appeared regularly at His Majesty’s Theatre and the Beach Pavilion in Aberdeen and he shows were broadcast on the BBC: lifting the spirits of the nation with his comic routines, instant rapport and funny songs.
