Ade Adesina

Nigeria, born 1980
About MeNigerian-born Adesina studied at Gray’s School of Art, graduating in 2012. Upon graduating, he participated in the school’s Graduate in Residence programme before going on to exhibit widely across the UK. Adesina’s work takes influence from his African roots and British culture, creating an amalgam of past, present and future as he addresses the influence of mankind on nature; deforestation, oil, agribusiness, the politics of energy consumption and the endangered species of our planet. In Adesina’s prints, different time periods and locales fuse together as he addresses the global problems that challenge our modern society.

Most recently the artist was resident at Eton College, producing a new body of work entitled “Beyond the Light”. GHAT has been keenly following Ade’s career since graduation, and featured him in exhibitions both in the Small Gallery and The Suttie Arts Space. We are pleased to be able to show a solo presentation of his work in The Suttie Arts Space in early 2017.
