About MeLady Glentanar was born in Norway to Thor Thoresen and Dagbjørt Thoresen. She was married to Thomas Coats (1894-1971), 2nd Baron Glentanar. The wedding took place 20 December 1927. She was mother of Margaret Jean Dagbjørt Bruce. She served the British Red Cross during WW2. She passed away in 1940.

A monument was erected by architect Alexander George Robertson Mackenzie in 1940 at St Lesmo's Chapel, in Glen Tanar, which honours her memory.
