Justice Mill Brae
E52
DescriptionA watching brief was carried out by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit in September 2000 during groundworks for new flats. Although the site was in proximity to the site of medieval mills (Lower Justice Mill - NJ90NW0822), no medieval finds or structures were recorded. The original bank of a watercourse which was culverted in the medieval period for the mill was recorded. The area was within gardens in the 19th century. Small quantities of 18th and 19th century pottery were recovered from the garden soils.Location InfoNational Grid Reference: NJ 9338 0561
