About MeDuring the 1970s Marguerite's life focussed once again on Tangier. There she made many friends amongst the young westerners who lived there. Her home became a haven for them and together they spent days sunning themselves on the lido below Cherifian Rocks. She painted their lithe bodies and recalling similar figure studies by Duncan Grant, with bold use of green and red, captured the effect of strong sunlight on their bronzed skin.
