About MeSites south-east of of the junction with New Pier Road, this memorial consists of a simple tapered granite obelisk mounted on a series of stepped square bases orientated to the compass points. This memorial was erected to those who fell in both World Wars. The services listed are the Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force, United States Navy and United States Air Force in the Second World War. Members of the Civic Defence are also commemorated.
