About MeA Scottish provincial silver Menu Holder by William Robb of Ballater, marked ROBB, KO'N, Edinburgh 1894 - 1895. It consists of two conjoined initials CC formed the obverse with sprung clip behind, raised on a simple flared base. This menu holder is a very rare example of a piece made by William Robb at Kincardine O'Neil. He set up his business in the town after briefly training and working in Aberdeen. Although he was only there for a short period of time he registered his first official and 'local' hallmarks there. He is and was a well regarded Scottish silversmith and is more commonly known as Robb of Ballater.
