About MeThis deconstructed Chinese dragon robe comprises two pieces: one large front panel and one small piece, probably from around the shoulder or arm.

The panels are red silk and decorated with multi-coloured embroidery in silk and gold thread.

The front panel widens to the hem with a split in the centre and features the usual design format of dragons couched with gold thread chasing flaming pearls above a deep border of tumultuous blue and white waves. There are also peonies, bats and clouds embroidered throughout the design in a Peking knot stitch and a scale laying stitch known as qianglin.

The small piece features more sparse embroidery of peonies, bats and clouds.
