About MeThis Japanese lacquerwork figure of a man sitting in a chair on an oval pedestal base is decorated with inlaid shell in the shape of dragons, peacocks, foliage, flowers and abstract geometric motifs. His face is gilded and he has a wispy beard and moustache made from human facial hair. His feet are also gilded.
