About MeThis ladle is from the Ladle Series created by artist Chien Wei Chang who likens his practice to going on a psychological and spiritual journey.

The act of scooping up liquid and moving it to another container reflects the way that we let go of old knowledge and gain new knowledge and understanding as we move through different experiences in our lives.

The design of the ladles is inspired by the rough, raw utensils used to harvest crops in Taiwan 3,500 years ago.

Bamboo symbolises modesty in East Asian culture.
