About MeWorkers in the offshore industries come from all over the world, and are separated from their families for long periods of time whilst working. It is a hard, dirty, sometimes dangerous business and breaks are a welcome chance to relax and socialise. Here Taylor’s empathy with her subject is clear, with the wry humour of the workforce at a time of leisure plainly evident. This image is especially poignant as Taylor visited the Kishorn Yard in Wester Ross, Scotland, as it was facing closure, and the workers were facing redundancy.
