The postcard was given to Sue Jane Taylor, who was Artist-in-Residence onboard Piper Alpha in the summer of 1987, by Gavin.
Gavin was the medic on Piper A (who died in the disaster), during Sue’s stay on the platform. Gavin had it displayed on the front check-in desk on Piper A. It was addressed to Sandy another medic who currently works on Piper B and who Sue met during her stay on Piper B in 2004.
