About MeArticle printed in an unknown newspaper on 7 July 1926, related to a two day sale of modern etchings at Southeby's. The most significant sales for McBey were the etching "Desert of Sinai" (see ABDAG001900) for £140, "Mersey Sunset" at £110, "The Pianist" (see ABDAG002104) for £94, "Hermon: Cavalry Moving on Damascus" (see ABDAG002029) for £50 and "Zaanstreek" (see ABDAG002042) which sold for £155.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this newspaper article.
