About MeTwo copies of an undated article in an unknown newspaper related to James McBey's recent completion of the oil painting, "Red Haired Girl." The painting was to be shown initially at an exhibition in Stoke-on-Trent, and the sitter was British playwright, novelist, filmmaker, broadcaster and critic, Eileen Arbuthnot Robertson. She was a close person friend of the McBey's who knew her as Billy Turner, and sat for the painting anonymously.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this newspaper article.
