About MeCast steel kitchen appliance painted green, to be clamped to a table edge and with a rotating metal blade for slicing beans inserted through an aperture at the top. Beans would be cut on the diagonal. Cast inscription: SPONG’S // BEAN SLICER // No 632 // MADE IN ENGLAND”.

The donor's mother got this bean slicer in about 1957 and used it for 25 years to slice the beans his father grew.
