About MeCream and brown enamelled gas range with two burners.

The stove is oval in shape and constructed from five different components. The main body is enamelled cream and features two plastic dials on the front. Each burner is comprised of two brown enamelled components, a pipe (extending from the front and turning back on itself, ending in a ring with holes in the top) and a pan support above. Each piece sits within indents within the main body.

The gas inlet enters from the rear.

There is a cast inscription on the underside of the main body "CA 9950". The underside of one of the pipes reads "CA 5892" (illegible on the other pipe) and on one of the pan supports is "CA / 1953" (again illegible on the other pan support).

This type of range could sit on the kitchen work top or be placed on the older solid fuel range originally found in tenements. Very often this type of cooker was the transition between large cast iron range and a full gas cooker with oven.
