The base consists of five wooden slats while the front and rear have four wooden vertical bars inserted into a single horizontal beam.
The vertical bars show decorative cut grooves on the edges.
At the front a cast metal wheel is attached to a swivel bar which runs up through the raised section. This allows the wheel to swivel as necessary.
At the other end two larger cast wheels are attached with "V" shaped metal brackets at either side.
Along one side the cart has the wording "ABERDEEN NO1 EX DUE" in white paint.
