About MeBrangwyn was an artist of many talents and excelled in painting genre, architectural subjects, industrial scenes, maritime and figure subjects. He was also a skilled etcher and lithographer. The son of a Welsh architect he received his early artistic training from his father.

Brangwyn loved the sea and this lead to much foreign travel. He also found fame abroad as well as at home - receiving a gold medal in Chicago. In 1924 a retrospective exhibition of his work was opened by the then Prime Minister Ramsay Macdonald.
