About MeThis wooden plaque was presented to the Brent Delta Platform platform when it was commissioned in 1975. It was a gift by the then Mayor of Stavanger Arne Rettedal,(who was on the council of Statoil, the Norwegian State oil company) on behalf of the people and Cityof Stavangar. The massive concrete gravity platform Brent Delta was built in the same fjord where Stavangar stands. The plaque itself was placed in the recreation room of the platform where it remained until it was dismantled on Teeside.
