About MeMalene Hartmann Rasmussen is a Danish artist living in London. She creates figurative ceramic sculptures and combines these with found objects to create installations with strong narratives. Folklore, magic and rituals play an important role in her work.
Antler Helmet was displayed with offerings to the dead in the artist’s Fantasma installation which explored her grief at the loss of her parents.
The design of Antler Helmet was partly influenced by helmets found in Viking graves.
