About MeThis quaich was presented to Jessie Herbert on the birth of her daughter Patricia, the first baby born in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital in 1937.

The inscription reads:

PATRICIA HERBERT
ABERDEEN MATERNITY HOME
FORESTERHILL
2ND DEC. 1937.

The matron also knitted a small matinee jacket for Patricia, which is in the collection along with a copy of the newspaper photograph of the event kept as a memento.
