Sunday, AAP. - Speaking at Aberdeen in the Wings for Victory Campaign, the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir Kingsley Wood) said that since the war began the small man had saved £2,150,000,000. This, he said, provided about 20 percent, of the Government's borrowing needs, and would mean much toward social stability after the war. More than £500,000,000 had already been subscribed in England and Scotland to the Wings for Victory campaign".
