About MeSir Muirhead Bone was an exceptional draughtsman and worked almost exclusively with pencil, pen and ink and watercolours. He was also one of the most celebrated printmakers of the etching revival which took place at the beginning of the 20th century.

This carefree scene of the English seaside is a typical etcher's watercolour in which line is all important and colour is used as an accessory.
