About MeThe sitter was born in 1810, the son of Alexander Webster, advocate. and died in 1891. He was the father of the advocate Alexander Webster, esq., the donor of the Webster collection of pictures and porcelain but gathered much of the collection himself. He was also Lord Provost of Aberdeen (1856-59) and Liberal MP for the City of Aberdeen between 1880 and 1885.More About Me
