About MeCarte de visite of the fountain in the yard at Holyrood Palace. It is an octagonal stone fountain decorated with lions heads and a crown supported by four halberdiers. Below these are David Rizzio playing the flute, Queen Margaret, John Cunningham the Town Drummer of Linlithgow, Lady Cramford and the Earl of Stair. On the reverse side of the carte is a date, hand-written in ink: 1867 and a pencil note which reads: 'Edinburgh' but the rest is unclear. There is also a stamp which reads: 'T. P Stackhouse.'
