About MeThis finely painted figure is a copy of examples made at Meissen, Germany. In 1751, arrangements were made to borrow pieces from a Meissen service to serve as models at the Chelsea porcelain factory. Wearing a superbly detailed costume, this figure has gathered an apron full of individually modelled blooms.

A pretty porcelain shepherdess, with one arm outstretched, a blossoming basket of superbly detailed flowers gathered in her apron, decorated in coloured enamels with scrolls picked out in gilt.
