About MeThis porcelain moulded figure of Cupid from the 'Cupids in disguise' series depicts Cupid wearing a pink and orange bicorne hat with gilt button and a green robe with gilt and spot pattern. He holds a purple money bag in his right hand.
The Chelsea factory was established by silver and goldsmith Nicholas Sprimont, from Liege. The period of manufacture known as the gold anchor period dates from 1758-1760s. This was the final phase of the Chelsea factory and the main influence on design was the rococo style of the Sèvres factory in France.
