About MeA letter written by R. Loehlein requesting 6 impressions each of 3 different photographs for Prince Frederick William, the Crown Prince of Prussia. These photographs are most likely from those taken at Balmoral in 1863.

After the death of Prince Albert in 1861, Wilson's photographs of the Queen and the Royal family were quite the opposite of those taken previously. After this date the portraits arranged by the Queen were set up as tributes to Prince Albert. The portraits of Prince Frederick William and his family were the last informal portraits of the Queen and the Royal Family that Wilson produced. They were requested by the Queen for the family album.
