About MeCarte de visite of a man sitting with his legs crossed in a plush chair next to a table with a book on it and a hanging curtain. His hair is styled neatly and he has sideburns and a moustache. he is wearing a coat with long sleeves and medals pinned to his chest on the left. Possibly military (?) His trousers have a single stripe going down the outside and he is also holding a cap in his hands which are folded on his lap.Photographer's full print details can be seen on reverse side as well as the letter 'C' hand-written in pencil. c.1860s
