About MeCircular, two sided presentation medal. The obverse with female figure to left presenting wreaths to four other figures against a background of objects associated with industry and art, with moulded lettering ‘+ Aberdeen & Northern District + Exhibition Of Industry & Art’. The reverse with engraved inscription ‘S.R.Stewart & Co. / Awarded For / Superior Excellence / In Manufacture Of Horn Goods’

Aberdeen was famous for its comb works in the 19th century and S. R. Stewart’s factory on Hutcheon Street was one of the largest, trading from 1825 until 1997.
