About MeThe Dyce token is oval in shape and is inscribed on both sides; the burning bush is depicted on one side only. The inscriptions are: Side 1: Dyce 1847; Side 2: This Do in Remembrance of me Luke II.19

The church which issued the token was probably the former Dyce West church, a large building which stood on a prominent site on the west side of the village. The church has long gone and only the graveyard survives almost surrounded by industrial buildings.

The earliest church in the Dyce area was a medieval structure dedicated to St Fergus. The walls of this building can still be seen about a mile and a half north west of the present village close to the River Don.
