About MeWarwick Reynolds worked principally as a book illustrator, the animal kingdom being his specialism; he illustrated 'Dwellers in the Jungle' published in 1925.

This leopard and black panther were clearly drawn at the zoo. The big cats have a well-fed but watchful look; the artist has suggested their restrained vigour. The lithe bodies are reminiscent of contemporary Art Deco feline jewellery, and the picture has a very decorative aspect as a whole.
More About Me
Black panthers exist in both old and new worlds as colour variants of leopards and jaguars
