The ribbon is red with a narrow white line down the centre.

The Territorial Force Nursing Service was founded in 1909 and supplemented the regular Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service (QAIMNS). It was renamed the Territorial Army Nursing Service in 1920 and from 1949 it has been the territorial army part of QARANC, the Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps.
