About MeDuring the 1960s Gerald Laing was living and working in New York, where he created some of the first and the most enduring pop images, such as his famous 'Brigitte Bardot'.

In the late 1960s Laing moved to Scotland and restored Kinkell Castle, where he is still based. Working increasingly as a sculptor, he soon moved on from pop art towards a more abstract approach which culminated in his bronze work, such as this elegant pyramid.

More About Me
Over his fifty-year career, Laing worked in genres as diverse as pop-art, abstract sculpture (like this), figurative sculpture, and paintings and prints making social and political commentary. Which of these forms do you like the most and why?
