About MeIn 1978 the American artist Liliane Lijn became fascinated by the sculptural possibilities of light and began to incorporate glass prisms in her work. The rainbow light cast by the prism becomes part of the sculpture giving Lijn 's work an elegant and ethereal quality.

The artist wrote of her use of prisms:

'When I work with them, I become a receiver, allowing them to act upon me…I do not wish to use prisms to see in a particular preplanned way, but to allow the prism to show me the unexpected'.
