About MeEveryone's idea of what an offshore drilling rig should look like,
Sea Conquest was a semi submersible drilling rig and was built in Finland in 1976. It had a long career, working initially for BP, on fields such as Magnus in the North Sea. This image shows the rig not long after commissioning.
In 2020 it was bought for $11 million by a Chinese company and is named the Nan Hai Shi Hao for work in the South China Sea.
