About MeThis photo-work developed from the project 'Breath-hold', directed by Silver in 2001 in Aberdeen's Northern College swimming pool, which created images using video and sonar technology.

Of the project the artist writes:

The swimming pool is a place in which to act out the metaphors associated with water immersion: waiting, cleansing, drowning, dreaming, baptism and birth. When people move under water, they change subtly like figures in a dream. Unchoreographed limbs acquire grace, suspended in a tank of warm blue water. Bodies play, turning over and over, weightless, enveloped. Gestures slow as if in the act of freezing. There is nothing here in this sterile tank except the imagination - and the physiology of swimming, breathing and drowning.
