About MeThe sitter is the artist's wife, Cecile Walton, who was herself a talented painter and the daughter of "Glasgow Boy" E.A. Walton. She was a close friend of artists Dorothy Johnstone and Anne Finlay and with them worked for several years at Greengate Close Kirkcudbright. Later she moved to Edinburgh and is now associated with The Edinburgh Group of artists, who included John Duncan and Cecile's husband Eric Robertson.
