About MeAn etching resulting from the artists commission from Stirling Shipping to commemorate the company's 10th anniversary in the oil industry.
The view is taken from the deck of the Stirling Teal looking up at the drill derrick which dominates the image. To the right is a crane loading materials from the Stirling Teal onto Santa Fe 140 which was a semi submersible drilling rig and fairly new when the artist encountered it..
The image captures the overwhelming scale of such installations.
