About MeExotic spices from the East were highly valued as they gave flavour to bland food. The ownership and use of spices became a status symbols leading to a variety of personal containers for storage and display.
They ranged from small nutmeg graters to this relatively large and exceptional spice tower which comprises three compartments - for ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon - along with an integral pierced grater within the pull-off cover.
