About MeThis highly unusual brooch consists of two layers of metal, one positioned ontop of each other. The lower section, on a sheet of aluminium metal, portrays images from a cast iron pattern book. Stewart has then hand tinted the metal to achieve the colour. The Ochil Hills in the background give the brooch its title. The upper sheet consists of photographs printed onto a sheet of aluminium and then cut out and positioned on the lower sheet, so that the group of people stand out in relief from the lower sheet. Stewart incorporates family photographs in his work, the photo here is of Stewart's father, grandparents, brothers and sisters.
