About MeThe City of Aberdeen locomotive was purchased for Aberdeen Corporation Gas Works in 1887; it was an 0 4 0 saddle tank engine made by Black, Hawthorn & Company. At the same time eight wagons werepurchased to carry coal from colliers at harbour for processing into coal gas.
