About MeTerence Cuneo (1907-1996) is renowned for his detailed artworks depicting industrial, transport and battle scenes. He was the artist commissioned to record the coronation in 1953.
He received numerous commissions, such as in this work for Conoco, where feats of engineering were to be celebrated. This work shows the Hutton Tension Leg Platform having the topsides which had been built at Ardesier being affixed to the jacket which had been built at Nigg on the opposite side of the Moray Firth.
