About MeDonald Cameron joined the Seaforth Highlanders on October 1918 and remained in military service until April 1920 (discharged Gordon Highlanders). In that year he moved to Aberdeen where he joined the City Police. His main beat became the harbour area. Constable Cameron retired from the police September 1950 after thirty years service. The baton was probably presentated for his service to the City Police.
