About MeWatkins was the Head Professor of the Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery Department at the Royal College of Art, London from 1984- 2006. He has combined a successful teaching career with extensive studio practice as a designer, jeweller and sculptor. Today he is regarded as one of Britain's leading influential jewellers.
In this stainless steel bangle Watkins has retained his loyalty to the geometric shape of a circle, but has extended beyond the confines of the diameter with open wire leaves and protruding rectangular forms. The corners are cut (rather than assembled) with an incredible precision and sharpness of line.
