About MeUsed for "smoking" the plate. The plate is held face downwards with a hand vice over a bundle of lighted tapers. The smoke changes the brown wax to a jet black enabling the etcher to clearly see every mark made by his needle.
More About Me
One for the dedicated McBey fans - a wax taper used for colouring the glass plate in the etching process.
