About MeShell shaped caddy spoon by William Jamieson of Aberdeen, around 1840. Tea drinking was still a relatively new fashion at this time, but it is interesting to note that shell shaped caddy spoons are still used today with loose tea.
More About Me
This spoon takes its shape from large seashells, which were packed with tea for export. The spoon was used to dispense tea from a tea caddy.
