About MeKate Malone was born in London and studied at Bristol Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art. Her work is sculptural, and she uses organic forms to create her ceramics, as they often take the shape of vegetables or fruit- in this case a lemon. Although they are designed in the form of a functional domestic items, such as a teapot or pie dish, she thinks of her work as decorative, rather than functional.

More About Me
Malone has said "pottery is almost as good as sex - it's so physical and so [...] fantastic."
